The company P M E , spol s r.o. was founded in 1991 in Přerov and the subject of business was locksmith production. Within 10 years, the scope of business was expanded to include metalworking and the production facilities were gradually enlarged.
In 2000, the company successfully applied for certification of the welding quality system and was also authorized as a technically qualified supplier of Czech Railways. The number of employees oscillated around 60. Since 2002, we have certified all production processes to the quality management system according to ISO 9001. With the arrival of the millennium, we also successfully started cooperation on the production of the Malt Roaster, the development and supply of which we continue to this day.
In the following years, the company invested in new production technologies, increased the number of employees and established a design and NDT testing department. These steps led to the expansion of the production of spare parts and technological equipment for cement plants, lime kilns and magnesites.
Due to the economic crisis in 2008 – 2010, the company’s investments and growth were suspended. We have re-evaluated the production program and focused on new products and services. PME started the production of specific equipment in the chemical and energy industries using hi-tech materials and with an emphasis on the quality of workmanship.
Another focus was on renovations – repairs of machines and technological equipment, as well as services such as defectoscopy or cooperative machining.
In 2018, the company decided to change its production strategy and focus only on a narrower segment of products and services in the engineering industry. We are now engaged in technologically demanding projects with high added value and we offer our customers a comprehensive solution that can include studies, designs, production, assembly supervision and service.
The need to expand production and storage facilities led us to acquire a company in a joint industrial area in 2020. Subsequently, we started the production of wooden packaging and industrial atypical pallets for the transport of our products or the products of our customers
The materials that our company processes are structural non-alloy and alloyed steels, stainless steels and duplex steels.
